Self indulgence is widespread

People today have websites and analytics for themselves. Most people are self-published. They are not relying to sell themselves to publishing corporations for the advertising expenditure. That is why people feel they need to see each other after this lockdown, to get their word out. So most congregations, including churches are welcoming people back into their doors to see one another so they can share in person, which what otherwise my be soliciting on Zoom or in their groups. But, this is going to create hundreds of hotbeds for the coronavirus to spread even within one city.

The t-shirt or mark that one wears in front of others, like my own Grindl t-shirts are simply a desire to be seen and convey my message in person. It is something that is drawing everyone out of their homes in hopes that they can leave a lasting impression with a glance. To get a hit after an introduction and for someone to look you up while you stand there feels pretty good. But all too often, it is momentary and the information is not appraised, just glanced at. One can still get a lot of attention for showing people what they want. And when you are there in person to talk to that person it feels even better that the one on one happened. This is going to lead a lot of people out of their homes seeking redemption when they need to stay wary of the virus.

Most meetings that are happening outside of work still hold the values of the democracy that we are within, at least they are trying to succumb to everyone’s needs. The 25% capacity is leaving many people without options except to be isolated outside at a distance from the main gathering.

One of my brilliant ideas coming to the Miracle Mile a year ago was to solve the parking solution during the holiday season. That was to lock in a parking spot before you even leave the house. I think the same is going to go for restaurants and bars in that you will have to make reservations for long times to come to have seating outside in the parking lot as well as inside. The reunions that are there to support those in need, with people looking for this gratuitous boost in moral from sharing from in person to phone to watch the behavior of their acquaintance is in desperate need of calming, or there will be a storm. People gathering together in hopes that the sign of their presence in the midst of dilema expresses their strength in unity, are sure to overwhelm the situation of those most cautious.

There eventually will have to be a lottery at all times for a spot to come to meetings, possibly a new app for that, making the lottery for your spot in whatever venue a reality to keep crowds small. Luckily people can meet online in as crowded a venue as possible as seen by National conventions done through Zoom over a several day period. Supporting those businesses that need to maintain something over 25% can be done through their other means of delivery.

Even parties at houses should be whittled down to the lottery system. Going shopping and parking with the lottery system is easy this time of year especially with most people still staying indoors. Going to work may even come down to the lottery system. This is all to avoid another outbreak. The numbers are low, but I have not heard reports on the heat and dryness lately to be effective against Covid-19 as it was stated with the flu. I think the country is still getting just as many new cases a day but fewer are dying, maybe to learned behaviors in care at medical centers.

This doesn’t mean that there aren’t hotbeds for the virus that dramatically increase your odds like at warehouses and recovery reunions. Most hospitals not in direct correlation to responding to the virus have halted activity. That means those who are estranged and without medicine at this time cannot find the help they need and are wondering, hopefully at a social distance that can be kept.

The community is looking to stimulate the economy and not take care of those in need at this time. Without taking for granted your own health because you don’t see a doctor for any of your own mental high functioning aliments, keep in mind that opening your business without a lottery to those coming in is putting everyone at greater risk. Giving people more reason to demonstrate their proposed fashion in light of the risks, is not something one should seek gain from and the path should be forewarned to the acceptance of all.

COVID-19 and the business

Recently after almost a month of the spread of the virus and at least three weeks into being in Italy, I have seen a good readership sprout up there. They are engaged and stay for some time. Although they did not visit the magazine itself, the website did get attention.

Also over the month before the initial outbreak, hundreds of people were looking into where the Golden Mile Magazine was located. Meaning where was the business map on Google Maps. The location has not changed from Finca el Descanso, although my emails and on the back cover I list the current location I’m in here in Dallas.

I see my business as sustainable in this time and I’m still here to support the Miracle Mile. Although I’m not looking for directory inputs from nail salons and beauty parlors. I am looking for year long placements from restaurants who want to post – For Pickup Only, To Go – across this website. Placed with Google Ads and hopefully for the same price another ad in the upcoming edition of the May magazine.

I think that this could be a new way of doing business for the restaurants that people still need to eat. My mother just ordered something to be brought to the house, which we almost never do, except for some pizza from Campisis’ on a very late night. The restaurants could still thrive without making their staff more vulnerable.

I had at one point some interest from VCA and they aren’t letting anyone past the door to speak. I’m sure animals are going to get sick and get better. Accidents in a crowded home happen and pets take the majority of the problems.

I noticed the signs on the doors on the 18th of March on many of the doors along the Miracle Mile that they were closing or cleaning, or that if you had been abroad and been seen around contagious people to not come in. I went out on the 18th to deliver flyers, to encourage the people that they need a year long attitude right now and not something so short sighted. I’m even thinking opening back up by the time May and my next edition comes out.

Many people may be thinking we are going to be coming out far sooner than that, but I have heard 45 days from now, which is about when my next edition will come out. Now that I have no way to knock on doors throughout April, I’ll just have to hope they remember me. I had to state that I have 1000 followers on LinkedIn and 4000 readers to Chip’s and I’m not sure with all that I publish if that is enough.
